Its great update. I've been using raindrop.io since the first launch !!!
For your consideration: https://github.com/postlight/mercury-parser
How about having bookmarks stored locally. Backup to server and even full offline support?
It may not make sense until you find no internet on your desktop and need to get to something using mobile and need access to your bookmarks in your browser to remember that URL.
The issue here is probably the limited file size that extensions can have under browser restrictions.
Really wish raindrop.io would actually sunce the native bookmarks of the browsers! I have switched to using an app called flocco because it allows for this. Though it is unable to sync tags since Mozilla extension api doesn't give extensions access to this and Chrome doesn't natively support tags in bookmarks anyway.
Would upgrade to PRO in a heartbeat!
This would be amazing!
If this feature is not in planning, please share this w/ us. For me it's a crucial feature. If it doesn't make to production, I'm afraid I will leave you guys.
@Panagiotis Toni Bobolakis: Yes for me is that also most important thing (and full text search, which is tightly connected to this feature). Only reason why I'm not on PRO yet.
Would gladly pay for the pro account with this feature
This feature will fill huge gap, and i really like it.
Isn't this already planned?
This feature is a must have !
I described how to utilize raindrop shared RSS feed with dropbox to create markdown versions from articles here: https://raindropio.canny.io/feature-requests/p/ability-to-cache-websites
It's not as convenient as pocket, but you have a copy of your articles in dropbox etc.
I would really appreciate this! And if you do, please implement more sane advanced options than Instapaper or Pocket.
Pocket lets you limit your downloads to a specific size (the lowest is 200mb) but that still meant it would download almost 500 articles for me, which I don't need at all. Instapaper lets you choose how many articles to download, but the lowest amount is 100 which is still overkill for me.
If you could automatically download articles from a specific collection or tag (like having a read it later collection) that would be perfect!
Yes, this will be highly appreciated!
This feature would be very important to me and I'd definitely be willing to pay more for it.
Offline reading for iOS and Mac would definitely bring a very important feature that many people use on Pocket.
