It would be great if we would be able to delete one or more tags (instead of all like we can do now) from a set of selected bookmarks.
And also it would help if we could rename a tag (in bulk).

Rustem Mussabekov , can you check this feature requested? It was set as COMPLETE in 2017, and we still cannot figure out how to delete a common tag from a list of selected bookmarks (without deleting the tag entirely from the whole library). I created a new feature request in 2024 which got merged here automatically so I see no other way to make this feature request visible but to tag or contact you directly.

BTW, I know how to delete all the tags from the selected bookmarks, but this is not the goal here.
EDIT: I also tried the new AI, but it took more than one minute to finally fail with this error. I really do want to avoid AI for such simple use cases where a variant of the "Delete tags" option would do the job.

I want to be able to delete a tag in bulk. Currently you can only delete all tags, not just one specific tag. For example if I have 100 bookmarks that have one common tag, I might want to remove that common tag from some of them, but not remove all the tags. It is a real pain to have to go into each bookmark to remove one tag.

you can use the tag-manager https://extension.raindrop.io/#/app/tags to merge tags oder delete them.
But indeed it's not possible to bulk remove tags from a selection of bookmarks.
So I will open a new feature request, because this one will not be obened anymore, I fear.

I need to bulk edit a large number of tags, spread over several collections. Since it's marked as 'completed' ― how do I do this, other than adding tags in bulk?

It's 2021 and I cannot believe that we are only allowed to remove ALL tags from a set of bookmarks. Why can't we delete individual tags? This is very odd. You can do that with Pinboard.in
