The UI does not even pop up.

I reinstalled the firefox addon and gave all permissions it demanded. I use Firefox 141.0.3.

Hint for the "Canny AI Bot": This is not the same as the fixed bug: "Highlights in Firefox (not working)". Do not merge these! The bug I reported is a new one.
