Highlighting of text is broken, only first occurring word text is highlighted

I use the web app in the Chromium browser.
I am in the Webview: When I want to highlight a word that occurs frequently in the text, all occurrences of this word are highlighted.
I am in Preview: When I want to highlight a word that occurs frequently in the text, only the first occurrence of this word is highlighted.
What I expect: I only highlight the part that I have marked and highlighted.

Highlights will look for all occurrences

For some reason in the apps (I've tried desktop and iOS, can't tell about others), it will render all occurrences of a highlighted text with the highlight background.
For example, I highlighted the word "Effects" and the app correctly shows there's only 1 highlight, yet it renders all the occurrences of such word as highlighted text. Even when there's separated words like in the text "Effect Step 1". (Which is an error I reported at https://raindropio.canny.io/bugs/p/highlighting-incorrectly-highlights-different-text)

Now exact position of highlighted text is saved. Fixed in web app, desktop app. All mobile apps and extension will be updated as well in next few hours

Maybe they could collaborate with Marius Bongarts creator of https://web-highlights.com/, which handles highlights correctly and also knows where in the document they are positioned.
I personally prefer the UI/UX of Raindrop 😬 and it's what keeps me using it

jahirfiquitiva Thanks for the feedback! Looks like I have to work on Web Highlights' UI/UX 😆 However, I am glad the highlighting works well!

It s the same in the Android app.

In the Android app, it's even weirder: only the first occurence of the word is highlighted, even when I highlighted the same word further down in the text. Tested with the 4.7.7 version.

Highlighting incorrectly highlights different text
jahirfiquitiva
As shown in the video, when I try to highlight something, it highlights the first appearance of it, even if it's in a different place than where I wanted to highlight.
Also, selecting the text "highlights" highlighted the text "highlight specific" which has a space between the "t" and the "s".
