As a work around / alternative, just a quick way to sync to a local device for reading and annotation would be great (e.g. download to local -> read & highlight in Acrobat, PDF Expert, pdf X-change, Xodo, Small PDF, iOS reader etc -> reupload saved/edited files)

Diigo is an awesome application. It is a pity that they don't provide a reliable support. If Raindrop can do it exactly like that, then it would be a very helpful app. An application that:
- Allows me to read my PDF whether on mobile, desktop, or browser.
- Allows me to highlight text and add notes and sync them immediately.
- Allows me to store my PDF files in the cloud.
- There is some icon beside the text, upon which I added a note, so I can hover my mouse over it to see the note and leave the mouse from it to make it disappear. On mobile I can tap on it and see the note and then tap on "Cancel" to make it disappear.
- There is some place, where I can see all of my highlights and notes.
I really really need these functionalities. My work as a developer with lots of documentation is very hard. And many learning materials as PDF. So I need to be able to read them everywhere I go and with any device I have access to. It is very urgent for me to be able to read just a quick summary of the highlights and notes.
I am really crying for getting all these features. I hope Raindrop can help me with this.
Thank you.

I use Omnivore as an alternative

For this to be a good productive feature
Raindrop should first add notes option like blank pages and edit option for web clip(articles) otherwise it would be a good to annotate PDFs on raindrop because it is not a note taking app.

One of the most important features. Not just annotate, but grab annotated pdfs (notes, highlights) and use these highlights as raindrop highlights.

This is a great feature to have, can be a Pro only feature.
Another must have is that it should be able to bookmark local url (like D:/folder/book.pdf), currently bookmarking local url given error invalid link.

I'd also love this feature

It would be good to know whether this is intended or not. For me, without it, it will not make sense for me long-term as much as I like raindrop. This app is smooth and has the potential to displace at least Diigo. I want a place where I can work on content in a team. With notes, all is prepared here aside from a critical source of information whenever content is locked in PDFs.

in 2023, how is this NOT a feature? Being in school, I use tons of PDFs for references and need to be able to annotate them. This is the only thing keeping Raindrop.io from being the perfect bookmark/reference app.
