Automatic tagging by folder
Gix
When you create a folder, either a root or nested, you can edit the folder to automatically tag any bookmarks placed in the folder.
For example, if i have a folder called AwesomeColors that tags any bookmarks created in it with "Colors" and "Awesome"

I can't find this feature
For example #ai #aitools #airesearch #aigithub are some tags I use for various links.
It would be nice to be able to make a collection folder named AI and then just automatically assign those tag bookmarks to that collection folder.

Yes, please! I'm new to Raindrop.io, coming over from Pinboard. I see huge potential here with Raindrop, but could really use the ability to automatically trigger tags when a bookmark is added to an existing folder.

I agree with this suggestion, I think it would be great.

🙌🏽 Smart Folders for peeps with wayyyy too many bookmarks that need sorting.

Something like this would be great. I have a folder called inbox with subfolders: Tweet Threads, Blog Posts, PDFs, Magazines, and Videos. It would be great if anything added to most had the tag #ToRead automatically and in the Video subfolder #ToWatch

I love this feature... this is exactly what I wanted to propose but was making sure someone else hadn't already suggested it.
A great use case would is when you need to restructure your bookmarks. My folder structure is so dense and build out, I'd like to either switch solely to tagging bookmarks, or refactor my folder structure. In any case, the first thing I need to leverage all my existing bookmarks is to have them tagged with their current folder.
If the bookmarks were nested, it would add multiple tags. After that, I would easily be able to drag tagged bookmarks into a newly refactored folder structure. Haven't thought about the UI yet, but might try and add more detail later.

For sure something like this is needed. I thought about tagging folders but your proposal is good as well.
