Currently Raindrop only backs up bookmarks. It does not seem to back up the contents of the bookmarks, neither images nor files.
- When images have been uploaded directly to Raindrop, the backup has nothing. It does not recognize it as a bookmark.
- When images have been bookmarked from a website, the backup is only a URL link.
Understandably, a full backup would create a high load on the servers, but Raindrop could limit this form of backup to once every few months, or make it a premium+ feature. Personally it's an extremely important feature for me as I use Raindrop for images, and usually upload directly to Raindrop's servers to avoid any issues if websites go down

Currently the backup creates an html file in Google Drive or Dropbox, with a link to the bookmark/image. I would like it export the images themselves.
This is because if you want an actual backup you'd have to click each link one-by-one and save the image somewhere. The html file isn't a true backup if the files are still stored in Raindrop's servers and the backup is just links.

Or a link to dropbox where all images get saved automatically. Reason: the library with all the inspiration is used as a screensaver

Currently, the only backup option is to save a spreadsheet with a link to each of your bookmarks. This does not include any uploaded files, which are a significant and commonly used feature. Users need the ability to backup such a sizable portion of their data.

A COMPLETE backup with ALL settings, icons etc. is an absolute must have.

Yes, I spent a lot of time sourcing icons for my setup, and was upset to find out they aren’t included in the export.

Ryan HoldenAlso a major critical FLAW, all my folder icons (that I spent a lot of time setting up, are gone). They never got restored. That was never mentioned anywhere in the documentation.
I did a backup restore/import ( from the scratch setting), and none of the folder icons came back. Is there a way to restore the icons ?. They were all there when I did the backup.

In my opinion this is a critical issue, I didn't realize the backups don't contain attached files until I discovered this through a reddit post. Now I'm reconsidering this app as my main bookmarking service.

Fully agree with this request. As this app may be a second brain, it should allow images & files backup.

WTF is HTML and CSV export? Is this a joke? My backup shows a couple lines, I feel like my data is detained in raindrop, what is it? Some sort of cunning to keep us using the raindrop app? How will I export hundreds of images one by one?
