Bookmark bar for quick access (in browser extension)
Michal Misiewicz
As a user, I would like to have quick access to certain websites, with just a single click, without having to open Raindrop web app and look for it in the folders. The idea is to get rid of my bookmark icons in Chrome web browser bookmark bar and have them easily accessible via the Raindrop Chrome browser extension.

+1 for this feature. This wouldn't need to integrate with the default bookmark bar in the browser if that's a barrier—it could be a good old-fashioned toolbar (https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:1166/1*lu7l7q0KLK-a-YYcXO8Gcw.jpeg) like SEOquake uses.
Adding content to the toolbar could be done via a new "show in toolbar" setting on the collection or individual bookmark, making it more of a "shortcut bar" than a way to search your complete bookmark collection; the sidebar and mini-app would be used to do that.

https://teamsyncbookmarks.com/ was able to add a folder to the Chrome bookmarks folder so this must be technically possible. It's the only feature I'm missing with Raindrop!

there is a working solution for it with https://help.raindrop.io/browser-extension/#side-panel
as the bookmark bar under the url is basically hardcoded into chrome, this is very much not approachable.

Is there any update on this feature request? I just paid for this app and I'm disanointed this isn't available. It's inconvenient to have to go to the app page to find a bookmark. I would expect the extension to provide a navigation and search option for all bookmarks.

I agree to 100%. The daily use isn't as convenient as the traditional bookmark manager of a browser. However, it is still the best option if you work on different unrelated browsers. It would be nice to get this feature to never worry again about bookmarks when changing browsers or working with multiple ones.

Yes this is my #1 issue with raindrop for me.
I keep skipping raindrop and use Google Chrome Bookmark Bar as it is super easy access.
Agree with Nikita Babichev this app is just bookmark storage (which I like) but...
I have to use 2 Apps for Bookmarks:
- Google Chrome Bookmark Bar for quick easy access (99% of time).
- Raindrop.io for bookmark storage.
Am I missing something on how to use Raindrop more efficiently? I set up raindrop as "home" in Chrome settings and I also have it as a shortcut in the bookmark bar but still too many steps. Let me know if you have a quicker workflow, thx.
Is it even possible for the owner developer to program Raindrop into where Google Bookmark Bar is?

Yes...this seems like an expected default feature. I like raindrop except for what has now become the pain of getting to my links easily.

+ one million times this!

yep, super needed. Thу lack of this functionality makes Raindrop just a bookmark storage rather than a tool
