Plugin for Bookmark Bar
M
Matthew Litwin
Like a browser's native bookmark bar, create a separate Raindrop bookmark bar which either can just use the existing hierarchy of bookmarks, a subset of them, or maybe bookmarks that only have a certain tags.
So many garbageware apps have their own cruddy malware bookmark bar that it will try to sneak into the install of many a shady shareware install so It would be nice if a vendor of "nice" software could have this feature as an add on in the form of a separate header bar for browsers that support custom bars. A user could disable their browser's native bookmark bar and just use Raindrop's!

Unfortunately, creating such a plugin is not feasible due to technical limitations, as no modern browser provides the necessary API for this functionality.
For a similar experience, we recommend using the Side Panel feature instead. https://help.raindrop.io/browser-extension#side-panel

Bookmark bar for quick access (in browser extension)
Michal Misiewicz
As a user, I would like to have quick access to certain websites, with just a single click, without having to open Raindrop web app and look for it in the folders. The idea is to get rid of my bookmark icons in Chrome web browser bookmark bar and have them easily accessible via the Raindrop Chrome browser extension.

Show collections in browser's toolbar (like the native browser bookmarks)

To be honest, I don't know if it is possible, but it'd be really useful to use Raindrop the same way as we can use the browser native bookmarks, having a toolbar always open to quickly select the page I wanna access.

An add-on that let's you see the favicons on your bookmarks toolbar, therefore being able to remove text from toolbar & viewing bookmarks only via favicon. See the attached image.

Create a Toolbar layout

In firefox, there is a raindrop.io sidebar (which really doesn't format very well). Could we get a toolbar as well. With the top collections as the top toolbar folders. In the same format as the boolmark toolbar is now.
Management would still be through the icon, so just the collection folders in headline mode for quick access.

Show a "raindrop bookmarks bar" on any webpage, mimicking the chrome bookmarks bar

An option to show a raindrop bookmarks bar on any webpage you are, mimicking the chrome bookmarks bar. (So to hide the chrome bookmarks bar if you want.)

There is an upcoming chrome extensions that tries to solve the issue of having raindrop bookmarks directy in the chrome bookmarks: https://github.com/lasuillard/raindrop-sync-chrome

+1 for this feature. This wouldn't need to integrate with the default bookmark bar in the browser if that's a barrier—it could be a good old-fashioned toolbar (https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:1166/1*lu7l7q0KLK-a-YYcXO8Gcw.jpeg) like SEOquake uses.
Adding content to the toolbar could be done via a new "show in toolbar" setting on the collection or individual bookmark, making it more of a "shortcut bar" than a way to search your complete bookmark collection; the sidebar and mini-app would be used to do that.

This would be a cool feature
