Pin one bookmark into multiple collections
planned

In this time, I am on the horns of a dilemma cause I want to add my bookmarks into multiple collections without duplicate them.
I'd like that feature as soon as possible =)

+1. I was really confused when I discover this isn't possible because it seems like a no-brainer. It's the main reason I'm still on the lookout for alternatives, hope this gets implemented soon.

When is the feature to save a bookmark in multiple collections planned? With Diigo it is possible, unfortunately it is less visually appealing

We use collections for different groups of people, and it's not uncommon for a single website bookmark to be helpful to both groups. So yes, this feature is critical for us -- we need to be able to "duplicate" a bookmark and move the copy into another collection.

PLEASE do this SOON! I'm at the point of needing to find a different tool if I can't do this.

I've got ~15K bookmarks with an average of 2-3 tags per bookmark. Some are parent-child relations (machine learning | clustering), others are blog posts that cross genres (behavior, neurology). This is my #1 ask.

I don't see any need at all to separate the categorization tool into two different entities: Folders and Tags. What's the problem with making it so that I can just share a link to a collection by a specific tag?
I'm gradually switching completely to tags, and I'm forced to leave folders only for link sharing.
It seems to me that folders are an outdated linear approach. Correct me if I'm mistaken)

dimaydk On the contrary, I really like the fact that there are exactly both. Not everything I index with tags has a folder. And what I organize in folders corresponds to particular projects, with some content that does not have tags, and others that have tags as if to display another level of indexing.

The ability to place duplicate "copies" (that are actually shortcuts that would direct to one saved instance of the page, complete with added notes & highlights) is critical when sharing collections with others.
Sometimes I want to bundle a few pages that I have stored in my main folders & "copy" them into a shared collection for someone else to review my research, without having to "un-file" the webpages from their main folder.
Tags don't work to to help when "sharing" specific pages for others to view. Tags could work to flag a few pages as a pseudo-collection, but only if the user would have access to all the folders where the originals are kept.
