Smart collection/saved search

Like "Smart playlists" in iTunes. You create conditions (topic, title/description/text contains string, multiple tags, type, date..etc...) and all bookmarks automatically puts to specified collection.
Think of it as "saved search"

That would be great! The Obsidian Web Clipper extension allow you to define rules to apply a specific template. It's a good example.

I would love "saved searches". For example, "-#nsfw" and then I could link directly to that.

Virtual search folder

It would be very useful to be able to create virtual search folders, much like those found in email clients like Outlook. The idea would be to be able to define criteria (keywords, tags, date added, domain, etc.), and for the folder to automatically show all the corresponding favorites, without having to classify them manually. For example: a virtual 'Read Later' folder could contain all favorites tagged 'read' or added in the last 7 days. This would allow for a dynamic organization, adapted to everyone's needs. Of course you can already do a multi-criteria search, but you do not have the possibility to save it as a “virtual folder”.

It would also be nice if you could share this saved search

You can sort of get the same result by using Raindrop.io on the web, preparing a query and bookmarking the resulting page. But I can't do that in the Windows app. So being able to refer to "saved" queries in the sidebar would be immensely useful. I don't even need for it to have a bookmark counter for it to be useful to me.

When bookmark has specific domain, topic, word, then Move to Collection @ and tag with #
AI is great and useful but let's not forget the fundamentals.
Most of the time users know where to drop their shit.
Just need to make it easy to do so without the guess work.
The guess work and suggestions from an AI can be great.
After the above.

'supertags' and category collections

It would be great to create a single 'supertags' that apply a series of different tags and categorization automatically, when a single super tag is evoked.

Same website grouping
Abdullah Lamfon
Websites google? All in google group
Website is one of a kind? in one of a kind group
Website has little tabs? Sort websites by most bookmarked site
As in google which has 100 tabs for example then another group below it that has 99 tabs
Pretty much all the features of grouping just as much as sorting
Take inspiration from ios files app
Also import bookmarks directly from browser account

Custom rules for Primary filter types
1617450532114
I like filters in general. I actually see them as object types. They tag a source with a Primary property.
Raindrop calls these filters.
Ofcourse Raindrop has added a few like these for example Articles, highlights etc.
But they are not customizable.
Image is a primary property.
But Screenshots is to me also a primary type.
Lots of images i save are screenshots.
These always have screenshot in the filename.
Or they are PNG instead of JPG
They are easy to define with 2 rules.
Filetype + Filename
It's important to not confuse these with complex filters which would allow for more complex searches. Which is usually a single search event.
These primary Object types are very powerful and essential for organizing sources.
There are ofcourse many ways to implement this which i would leave for the experts.
Some examples :
When image filename contains 'screenshot' then -> set filter to 'Screenshots' otherwise set to default ( Images )
When source domain is twitter/X then set filter property to Twitter/X otherwise to default ( Weblinks )
This alone would make Raindrop twice as powerful. Which it already is🤙🏻
The Next step would be to turn these to Smart Collections.
Thank you
