Smart collection/saved search

Like "Smart playlists" in iTunes. You create conditions (topic, title/description/text contains string, multiple tags, type, date..etc...) and all bookmarks automatically puts to specified collection.
Think of it as "saved search"

'supertags' and category collections

It would be great to create a single 'supertags' that apply a series of different tags and categorization automatically, when a single super tag is evoked.

Same website grouping
Abdullah Lamfon
Websites google? All in google group
Website is one of a kind? in one of a kind group
Website has little tabs? Sort websites by most bookmarked site
As in google which has 100 tabs for example then another group below it that has 99 tabs
Pretty much all the features of grouping just as much as sorting
Take inspiration from ios files app
Also import bookmarks directly from browser account

Custom rules for Primary filter types
1

I like filters in general. I actually see them as object types. They tag a source with a Primary property.
Raindrop calls these filters.
Ofcourse Raindrop has added a few like these for example Articles, highlights etc.
But they are not customizable.
Image is a primary property.
But Screenshots is to me also a primary type.
Lots of images i save are screenshots.
These always have screenshot in the filename.
Or they are PNG instead of JPG
They are easy to define with 2 rules.
Filetype + Filename
It's important to not confuse these with complex filters which would allow for more complex searches. Which is usually a single search event.
These primary Object types are very powerful and essential for organizing sources.
There are ofcourse many ways to implement this which i would leave for the experts.
Some examples :
When image filename contains 'screenshot' then -> set filter to 'Screenshots' otherwise set to default ( Images )
When source domain is twitter/X then set filter property to Twitter/X otherwise to default ( Weblinks )
This alone would make Raindrop twice as powerful. Which it already is🤙🏻
The Next step would be to turn these to Smart Collections.
Thank you

Allow Creation of Custom Tag Groups as Collections or Folders
d

So I know I personally have issues with the way RD indexes, specifically the inability to add a bookmark to more than one folder. This limitation causes me to forget where a bm is regularly. Is that new drill I bookmarked in my wishlist, shopping, craftsmanship, or priority folder? Who knows. To solve this, dynamic folders could be created by enabling folders to contain bookmarks as well as custom preselected groups of tags, so that the folder simply shows what is in that tag group at that time. One potential issue could be that if you have a manually uploaded bm in a folder which is tagged with the same tag as one of the tags in your preselected collection, it would appear twice. It seems like a pretty simply code would resolve that but one possible solution if not is to require folders either be dynamic (tag groups) or static (manual groups). It would also be cool to save searches in folders the same way.
I feel this would solve so many different ways tagging issues appear.

Rules/basic automation
Rob Boone
I'm thinking of rules that would monitor bookmarks for certain conditions and take a corresponding action if all conditions are met.
For example, if a bookmark is in a certain collection and was added more than X days ago, delete it. Or, if a bookmark is added to "Unsorted" but contains a certain tag, automatically move it to another collection.
The best corollary I can think of is Hazel for macOS. Apologies if this has already been suggested, I searched and didn't find anything that quite descibes this scenario.

manual filter sorting options

I think there should be a way to manually sort bookmarks into specific filters. An example for when this might be useful: there are some audiobooks I've saved that got auto-categorized under "video" due to being uploaded to YouTube, when it'd be more fitting to describe them as "audio".

Saved Searches

I would love to create/save saved searched within the Raindrop app. Right now, I have to execute a search in Chrome, then bookmark that URL in chrome but that doesn't really align with the ethos of Raindrop. Saved searches allow me to cross cut across many bookmarks stored in many folders (e.g. show me all the bookmarks for services I'm paying for).

Allow user to save filters which contain multiple tags so they can be accessed without typing multiple terms, e.g. tag_preset1 = tag1 + tag2 + tag3
