The current cards view is quite bad for displaying items like movies, books, news,...Most generated thumbnails for this type of contents are in the vertical orientation, so all the time, for such contents the cards can't display all the image or leave unsightly blank white spaces on both side of the thumbnail.
Moodboard can display such content but it is quite...moody, and is not well organized, sometimes it can be hard to find your wanted item. Not to mention that it takes time to auto organize your items as well due to the various items' sizes.
So my request is to have vertical thumbnail for card view, the generated thumbnail can be in "Fill" "Fit" or "Stretch" like your Windows 11 background settings by defaults. This will leave the thumbnails no ugly open spaces. So in the dropdown menu of selecting view mode the options can be like:
*List
*Cards (Landscape)
*Cards (Portrait) (Generated thumbnails are Filled in the items' frames by default, items without thumbnails can leave as blank by default, but still in the same size as the normal ones)
*Headlines
*Moodboard
My attached image is what one of my moodboard looks like, now imagine all the items in this are locked in the same rows, It would be perfect.
The other one is the normal card view notice that the thumbnails have cut images, and leave open spaces on both sides.
