Search & Edit the Tags

I have more than 500+ Tags, many of duplicate as well, request to have a simpler way to "find" & "edit" the Tags to keep the data clean.
Previously it was available via browser, but now the Search does find, but I have manually select the TAG to edit or merge.

I have almost 9k tags (migrated from Diigo), and that web based Raindrop tags manager page is terribly slow and not functional (I am shocked it has no filtering for tags). From what I can see, this page is implemented in damn slow React (it is not the best choice for rendering longer lists.
Replace it with (much, much more performant) htmx, or at least add a tag filter on that page, please.

Rustem Mussabekov: Can we expect that to be around for good? Can we get a supported feature linked from the main ui for peace of mind?

Rustem Mussabekov: thanks for sharing this
I have 5218 tags and that page is dead slow when interacting with it :(

Rustem Mussabekov: I'm getting errors when trying to delete 1000+ tags (which were created by an import from mymind)

Rustem Mussabekov: And after cumbersomely deleting batches of hundreds the API starts rejecting me, not showing me any tags at all anymore:

Couldn't agree more ... I have over 1500 tags now (from an import of an import that originated with Delicious). It would be GREAT to be able to search for tags, as I don't use anything hierarchical (like collections).

This is such an important feature for me.
I have as of today 1676 tags. I need to tidy them up a bit (e.g., right now I want to search for tags with spaces in them so I can rename them to have a hyphen instead), but this is insanely hard with such a long list... which means I end up giving up trying to tidy them and the list gets longer and more unmanageable.
Normally when a website lacks search we can fall back on using the browser's built-in page search, but this doesn't work either because only some of the tags tags are loaded into the DOM at one time, so I have to scroll no matter what.
I'm a very happy Raindrop.io customer, and this missing feature is the only real problem I have with it.

It would be great to get a warning when adding a new tag that is a duplicate. I was surprised that this is possible.

It would be great

Now that I've been using tags for a while, I'm having difficulties handling them:
I was trying to search for a tag (which I know exists) to rename it, but neither could I find the tag via the search easily nor could I rename it from the search results, e.g. by right-clicking

Yes!big one vote from me - i would love a search box right in that spot and is dynamic like the google suggest does - where if i press eg. 'd' all the d tags, then eg. 'do' all the do tags appear etc ...etc

R-x-B: THIS.
Would be also great to have general quick anchors to jumpto characters (abc etc) when sidebar is in alphasort mode. Always a hassle to manually scroll to eg "beginning with E" tags. Not to mention the vague sorting order of special characters..
Unlike in old (fullscreen) tag editor, sidebar editor cannot find with browser find - all the rest of the page gets in the way.
Going further, the anchor/jumps could be for tag density (123 etc) in "number of bookmarks" mode! Easy overview of tags galore.

Are the Tags still case sensitive?

Keios Starqua: yes, long long list makes it cumbersome to scroll to
